hearbeats & flab

So there I was lying on a examination table, shirt pulled up, trouser down when...
boom,boom,boom,boom,boom,boom....
Baby's heartbeat going at what sounded like a hundred miles an hour - in reality its beating at twice the rate of mine (whatever that may be!). Thankfully the baby was in a co-operative mood and was lying in a prime position for getting its heart listened to. The midwife had warned it could take a while to find, as it sometimes does at this stage, - which would have played havoc with my nerves. So now we've had 'photographic' and 'sound' proof that there is something in there.
I was considering posting a 'bump' picture until the midwife commented that I was at that stage of just beginning to look like I had a bump rather than looking like I had just put on weight. So I think I'll wait a little while, until things get a little firmer down there :)Its most definitely growing though. However, one can still forget......

H (seriously): By the way do you know you have a bump there...?
E (bemused): What? Where?.....
